Spanish green bean and northern bean saute
The picture of this delicious side dish is with my Spanish lamb recipe. The entire meal paired so well from start to finish that I didn't want to leave you hanging on the beans in the picture. I love this recipe enough to make a meal just out of the beans! YUM.
servings: 4
2 cups of Fresh french green beans
1 can of northern beans
1/2 c.sliced red onion
1 T. garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 - 1 t. cumin ( depending on how strong you want the cumin flavor to be )
1/2 t. paprika
cayenne pepper to taste
1 t. oregano
1/2 t. onion powder
2 T. lemon juice
2 T. olive oil
1T. sherry vinegar
In medium saute pan add olive oil. Heat and add in red onions. Saute until transparent. Add in the green beans. Cook for 3 minutes. Add in the garlic and northern beans. Combine. Add in all the dry seasonings one at a time and the sherry vinegar, cook for 2 more minutes. Add lemon juice and serve. Enjoy!
